The Cell and Gene Therapy Unit

un autre groupe

The Cell and Gene Therapy Unit (Unité de Thérapie Cellulaire et Génique - UTCG) main activities are devoted to cGMP manufacturing (modification, expansion) of cell-based therapeutics.

A certified Unit

The unit is committed on quality since its creation in 1994 and certified ISO 9001:2000 in order to control the overall manufacturing processes and to satisfy its customers needs and requirements.

UTCG is also certified by the French health authorities (AFSSaPS TCG/05/O/008, 6 june 2005) for cell therapy activities.

A privileged environment

The UTCG manufacturing areas (including two biosafety II facilities ISO 6), the R&D lab, and the offices are located inside the University Hospital of Nantes, over 440 square meters.

Because of its location, the UTCG is strongly linked with local research teams (INSERM) and closely related to clinical units in the areas of oncology (melanoma, mesothelioma, hematology …), neurology (Huntington disease), cardiology, nephrology …

The UCTG team

Ten persons (management, operating engineers and technicians) are immediately available to discuss any new incoming manufacturing project.

The UTCG expertise and state of the art come from a multidisciplinary team ranging from clinical to scientific and technical skills.

Reactivity, communication and availability are included in the UTCG service in order to provide the optimal results as expected by the customers.
